OffenderConnect® is an independent services portal for Global Tel*Link. The OffenderConnect® product line provides payment and accounting solutions for inmate friends and family members by offering several options to fund GTL telephone and inmate trust accounts.

To make a deposit to an inmate trust account (where available) or a GTL telephone account, friends and family members may utilize the website (www.offenderconnect.com), telephone (live operator or IVR) or, in select sites, the OffenderConnect® lobby kiosk.

• The OffenderConnect.com website allows the friends and family members to create, manage and close accounts without assistance.



• Friends and family members can create a GTL telephone account on OffenderConnect.com, even if an inmate has not yet attempted to call them.



• The OffenderConnect® service is also available by phone. Friends and family members can speak to a friendly OffenderConnect® customer service representative to create an account, or take advantage of the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to provide access to many account tools through your phone.



• The OffenderConnect® Kiosk has the ability to accept cash deposits, in addition to MasterCard or Visa branded credit or debit cards, allowing friends and family members to conveniently deposit funds onto a GTL phone account, or a inmate trust account (where available). The easy-to-use touch screen navigation system walks the user each transaction in an efficient manner, allowing the facility to reallocate staff who may have been dedicated to taking payments.

The OffenderConnect® kiosk is designed to provide a convenient and simple method for offender friend and family members to deposit funds onto their own ("My Phone") telephone account, an offender's commissary/trust account or, in some cases, an offender's phone ("Offender Phone") account. The kiosks typically accept cash and Visa or MasterCard credit and debit cards but can be configured to accept just one payment type or the other.

Feature	Description
Heavy-Duty Protective Enclosure	Regardless of the style of kiosk installed within the facility, the durability of the machine has the ability to withstand extensive day-to-day usage. Any routine maintenance can efficiently be completed with minimal interferance to the kiosk operation.
Convenient Cash Deposit Option	Minizing or eliminating the handling of cash deposits by Correctional staff not only creates a more streamlined workflow procedure but will reduce the threat of theft or missing funds, limiting the exposure for legal action.
Credit-Card Deposit Option	The kiosks have the availability to accept Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards in addition to most Visa and Mastercard issued Debit cards.
Secure Locking Mechanism	Safely secures the kiosk from unauthorized entry. Authorized services and technicians, such as Brinks, have the ability to access these mechanisms for cash pickups. The two stage locking system provides access to maintenance and cash pickup areas separately from internal processor components, so that only authorized users can access the system inside.
Easy to Navigate Touch Screen	A series of self-explanitory prompts will aide the Friend/Family Member in the navigation through the deposit process. This will decrease the amount of potential distractions for the Correctional Officers.

Friends and family may send email to inmates. First time users are directly taken to the Purchase Email screen to purchase email. When the user makes subsequent visits to the Email Center, they may make additional purchases, send email, and close their account. After the initial purchase, users may also view their Email Statement and Recent Activity report for current activity or view statements from previous months

OffenderConnect® Email Factsheet

Feature	Description
Improvement of mailroom efficiencies	With the replacement of traditional mail correspondence with inmate email service, mail room staff will be able to sort and deliver all communications in a fraction of the time. In addition, the reduction of incoming standard mail will allow staff to be reallocated to other functions with in the facility.
Help prevent contraband from entering your facility	By controlling the hard copy message that is ultimately delivered to the inmate, contraband that would be delivered to the facility, via conventional mail, is now a non issue. With the recent trend of 'lacing' letters with illegal contraband, this contraband threat is now eliminated from entering your population.

Feature	Description
Pin Debit	OffenderConnect® allows the funding of Pin Debit accounts (where available) through one of the convenient payment channels. All reporting functionality remains consistent with the trust account phone withdrawls.
Commissary	OffenderConnect® services can also be configured (where available) to handle deposits for inmate commissary. This configuration will help in the continued efforts of streamlining inmate trust accounting and appropriate staff allocations.
