GTL Coronavirus Response Update

Free calls, visits, messaging to help incarcerated individuals, family and friends stay connected
As the novel coronavirus pandemic continues to have a tremendous impact around the world, and correctional facilities face the challenges it presents on top of their 24/7 day-to-day operating concerns, GTL has been working closely with our facility customers to provide assistance. We know that this situation requires extra measures in an already challenging environment to keep facilities, incarcerated individuals, and communities healthy and safe.

GTL continues to monitor the effects of this outbreak, and we work every day to be a helpful partner to our facility and family and friend customers.

Last month we worked with many of our facility partners to provide free calls and other services for incarcerated individuals to help them stay connected to their loved ones. As a result, over 400 customers are on a GTL-assisted COVID-19 communications response plan. During this time, we have:

• Provided over 5.5 million free calls in March;
• Provided over 2 million minutes of free video visitation in March; and
• Committed to providing over 2 million free messages in March and April.

We have already decided to continue the program through April and expect that the numbers of both free calls and visits this month will exceed the numbers from March. We are thankful for the positive feedback we have received on how these services have helped.

We will continue to review and monitor the program and remain committed to working with our customers to get through this together.
