Video Visitation	GTL is able to provide state-of-the-art Video Visitation to address the specific needs of each correctional customer. Our flexible solution supports: Intra-Inmate Facility Visitation whereby inmate and visitor stations are located within the same facility. Inter-Inmate Facility Visitation allows a visitor at one facility to visit inmates at two or more of our customer’s facilities. External Visitation involves the placement of the video visitation unit(s) for visitors at an approved off-site location such as courthouse or other designated visitation center. Regardless of the configuration, visitation sessions can be fully recorded and visually and/or audibly monitored in real-time by authorized staff.

With its on-line, real-time capability, LazerPhone® gives you unprecedented power to monitor, block, and terminate calls when necessary. LazerPhone® reduces inmate fraud, prevents witness intimidation, thwarts escape attempts, all with the click of a button. LazerPhone® gives you the control to block calls instantly from your on-site workstation by time/day, PIN (Personal Identification Number), and origination or destination number. You are the ultimate authority. Instant Access to the Information You Need. The Notes feature lets you attach notes to call records, pin numbers, and/or destination numbers. Create notes containing case numbers, inmates’ names, or comments related to certain cases, then search and retrieve calls specifically according to your notes. The notes can then be saved and used in other programs such as MS Word, WordPerfect, Excel, dBase, and more!

Safeguard Evidence - Security Envelope

LazerPhone® wraps recorded conversations in a security envelope that remains intact when the recording is transferred to a compact disc (CD) and played back for evidence. LazerPhone® recorded calls can be easily transferred to a portable medium for use as evidence. To protect against possible legal challenges, the date and time of each recording as well as the telephone numbers involved are automatically encrypted into each call record and then enclosed in a tamper-proof electronic Security Envelope. The integrity of the Security Envelope is verified prior to each call playback to insure evidence authenticity.

Live Call Monitoring (Biometrics)

Monitoring and Alerts - Local and Remote Equal Real-Time Control The LazerPhone® system provides on-screen, visual display of all call activity as it occurs. Calls can be monitored and disconnected while in progress from the system workstation or remotely by telephones. Correctional personnel can be notified immediately if an inmate attempts to place a call to a restricted number. Alerts – LazerPhone® permits facility personnel to designate Hot Numbers, which may be specific destination numbers or inmate PINs. When an inmate dials one of these numbers an alert is delivered to your designated personnel. Snitch Line – The LazerPhone® system can be programmed to recognize a two-digit speed dial number by which inmates may access LazerPhone™´s Snitch Line, without entering a PIN or any other identifying information. Biometrics – GTL is the first and only inmate telephone provider to incorporate time-tested fingerprint technology into its verification process.

Internal Security

Officer Check-In - Coming April 2011 Protect Your Personnel – For additional protection of correctional officers, LazerPhone® can function as a time-clock allowing officers to “check-in” during rounds by entering a code at any inmate phone in the facility. The date, time and location of each officer’s check-in is recorded and stored for later review by the administrator. Monitor Internal Affairs – In addition to monitoring and recording inmate conversations, the GTL Platform system provides the ability to monitor staff/inmate relations as well as the location and safety of your personnel.
